This course covers the content knowledge on the alignment of the K-12 PE and Health curriculum content (i.e. standards, competencies) and assessment. An understanding of their alignment will ensure optimum attainment of student learning. It explores models underlying the development and design of the K-12 PE and Health curriculum. It requires students to examine the interrelationship between curriculum and assessment. Further, the pre-service teachers will identify the best practices for developing curriculum models and assessment tools which will meet the needs of the 21st-century learners.

APPLIED MOTOR CONTROL AND LEARNING OF EXERCISE, SPORTS AND DANCE - BPHE-CD 3-OV III-BPHE 2S-PHED26(T/F 09:30AM-11:30AM/09:30AM-11:30AM)
These are concept application of motor control and learning to exercise, sports and dance. The student should be able to skillfully break down various movement skills and devise relevant strategies to enhance the acquisition of motor learning of students. The learner of this course should be able to utilize their potential student’s movement competencies to progress into more complex activities.

HEALTH CONTENT 3 (POPULATION EDUCATION, FAMILY HEALTH) - BPHE-CD 3-OV III-BPHE 2S-PHED20(M/TH 07:30AM-09:30AM/07:30AM-09:30AM)
The course deals with the concepts of population resources and environment and their effect on the health of the population. The course discusses the understanding of population resources and environment as applied in the development of health literacy in the K-12 Health Curriculum. The course will require a paper presentation on the current issues and concerns in environmental health and its effect to health of the population.
